Psychometric Assessment
CompAssess offers organisations access to a broad range of
psychometric tests and questionnaires. As an independent organisation,
we have no vested interest in any particular test publisher
and we always select the best tests to meet a particular need.
CompAssess Psychometric Testing
Our psychometric assessments fall into two categories.
1. Ability Testing
Our suite of cognitive ability tests cover a range of job
types and levels such as:
- Senior Executive and Managerial
- Front Line Leader
- Sales and Customer Service
- Clerical and Administrative
Our preferred tests are carefully vetted for the psychometric
properties of reliability (accuracy) and validity (relevance),
as well as the likely perceptions of their relevance (known
as face validity). For most tests, there is the option of
a number of different delivery platforms including paper and
pencil, PC, or completing the tests on-line.
2. Preferred Style and Personality
Questionnaires are used to measure important aspects of
individual work preference concerning style and personality
that may be crucial in determining job fit as well as identifying
development options.

On-line Assessment
On-line testing has developed dramatically over recent years
in terms of availability, reliability and security. CompAssess
has monitored these developments carefully and has increasingly
offered on-line administration options when the technology
has satisfied our concerns for reliability and security.
Apart from in exceptional circumstances, our full library
of psychometric tests is available in an on-line delivery
format. Issues of security, however, and in particular ensuring
that the correct person has completed that test without unauthorised
or inappropriate assistance, have not been resolved. Therefore,
we caution against the use of these tests for recruitment
and selection purposes without the necessary security checks
being in place.
